Birthday surprise!

Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

I'm here, again. Hello everyone! How's life?

So, let's get straight to the point, alright?

Yesterday was the 15th of November and it was Naru-baka's birthday! Her 22nd birthday. Yep, her birthday is only a month away from mine. So, I planned to surprise her with a birthday cake because I know she always wanted a cake.

Since it was Sunday, I requested to take the morning shift so that I could get off work at 4 pm. We promised to meet up at my mom's work place in Athirah so I went there straight from work. Oh before that, I stopped by at a bakery first and purchased a birthday cake with my father. I chose the most beautiful Black Forest cake with Blue Berry filling! Nyum! After I paid for the cake, I left it there first and told the staffs that I would be picking it up later. The bakery is only about five minutes walk from Athirah.

Then I met up with Naru-baka. She looked a bit moody though. And she had just finished a cone of ice cream. As substitute of a cake, she said. See? She really wanted a cake but I had to ignore that statement of hers. While waiting for Asuki, we walked around the building randomly. And once Asuki arrived, we went to fill our stomach first. Hahaha. Oh. Of course, Asuki knew about the plan. I have told her beforehand.

While we were waiting for our order to arrive, I told them that I had to go somewhere for awhile to meet up with someone from Giant because I left my stuff there and that the person was sending it to me. But, it wasn't true, obviously. I went to the bakery to pick up the cake. Then I hid the cake at my mom's and headed back to the restaurant and acted as if nothings happened. Done with our early dinner, with Naru-baka, I went to the prayer room, while Asuki went ahead to my mom's place. I finished slightly earlier than Naru-baka and with an excuse that I needed to buy jelly for my niece, I left her there.

Actually, I rushed to my mom's place and with the help of everyone there, we prepared the cake. We then nervously waited for Naru-baka with a cake in my hands. One of the aunties lured her to us and when she was already standing behind me, I turned around and we all sang a birthday song!

And.

She cried.

Hahahah!

So, basically, the birthday surprise was a success. And we ate the cake with everyone.

I am jealous. LOL. Because the last time I had a cake on my birthday was very long time ago, on my 7th birthday if I am not mistaken. And the last time I properly celebrated my birthday was... ummm... I don't even remember. Anyway, I decided to celebrate Naru-baka's birthday was because, firstly, she is my best friend and secondly, I understand how it feels when your birthday is not remembered. I'm speaking form experience. So, I'm protecting my loved ones from experience the same pain. InsyaAllah.
