For today's post I'm gonna talk about the day I finally met up with my two besties! Suki-chan and Naru-baka after PKBN passing out! Since the passing out, Suki-chan kept saying that she wanted to go for a movie date with me :) She missed me so much, she said. Aww. Such a sweet friend. So we decided to meet up for the movie on 21st March! It was Thursday! Because on that day as well, there was an opening ceremony for an event at Time Square :) The First ever Japanese Festival in Brunei Darussalam. You sure know by now that both of us are Japanese freaks :P
We didn't go alone that day. We also invited Saku-chan and Naru-baka because the more the merrier. I picked Suki-chan and Saku-chan up that morning (Naru-baka showed up a bit late that day) and we went straight to Time Square. The ceremony was starting at 2:45 in the afternoon but we reached there at around 12 am so we planned to watch movie first. We really had difficulty in choosing what movie to watch. I wanted to watch Warm Bodies (Google it!) but if we take that one, we would miss the opening ceremony for the festival so we decided to watch Snitch :) The Rock was the main cast. It was a story about saving his son.
Well. Snitch has an interesting plot but the story line is way too serious ==' So I ended up being sleepy while in the cinema. I think the only one who was excited for the start till the end of the movie was Saku-chan. Hahaha. Suki-chan and I were like, "I wanna watch something funny..." HAHA! The only part of the movie where I laughed was the part when the car belongs to the villain went BOOM! I seriously laughed out loud and I was the only one =='
After the movie ended, we quickly took the lift downstairs. We supposed to be in a rush because the ceremony was starting but we played inside the lift instead. Taking pictures and stuffs. We went up and down and up and down in the lift. It was so funny especially when a man entered the lift and we all went awkward.
We were lucky because the opening ceremony hadn't started when reached the ground floor. And guess what, I bumped into Kimmy! Who's Kimmy? He is one of the closest ones to me during the three months PKBN national service training. He was the one that I talked a lot too. He's really understanding and he was the one that have seen me cry the most during the three months. I can talk about anything with him. I shared a lot with him :) He was always the first to realize if there was anything wrong with me and always the one who ask me if I was okay. So meeting him again really made me happy :D We took a picture together as memory.
Damn that Kimmy! He made that ugly funny face! Oh, this is the first time I uploaded a picture of me since I got back from the camp, right? Hahaha. Now you can see that my skin has become a lil bit darker.
Ah! I also met Wafa-senpai that day! The senpai that I have crush on at school! I was texting Naru-baka with my back leaning on the wall of a shop. Then went I looked up from my phone, my eyes suddenly caught him. He was just right in front of me and was also looking at me. I was shocked but I managed to raise a hand and waved at him. He smiled and waved back! KYAAAA! Okay, enough with that. Hahaha. We finally met up with Naru-baka and together we watched the opening ceremony. The ceremony started with a Wadaiko performance (Japanese traditional drum)! It was so freaking awesome! I couldn't help myself but to imagine Yuto was up there when he didn't. And then, there were speeches from the V.I.P that day and also people from the Japan Ambassador in Brunei.
Oh! We also met our (Suki-chan and I) Japanese Language teacher! Lim-sensei! We are glad that she still remembers us because the last time we saw each other was in 2011!
After the opening, we went for a tour. There was a lot of booths :) Saku-chan tried out the kimono and she really looks cute in it. Me? No, I didn't try. While Saku-chan was busy enjoying herself with her friend that she bumped into, me and my two besties went for a late lunch at KAKA restaurant. While enjoying our foods, we talked a lot. Well, it had been awhile since we hung out. I really had fun! Spending time with those two really made my day and of course Saku-chan too.
Then when we gathered up with Saku-chan, she told us that her mother would be picking her up so we said good bye to each other. Suki-chan, Naru-baka and I continued our date :) We went shopping while waiting for my pa to pick us up.
21st March 2013 :) An unforgettable day because I was reunited with them. So happy. We had so much fun together <3 Thanks, besties. We did take a lot of photos but we didn't upload them...so cannot share them here :) And since I have a lot of free time until at least August (I'm waiting for my application to the University of Brunei Darussalam to be accepted! :D), I hope to spend more time with them.
