Okay! I have an announcement! A news! Err...what? ANDROMEDA? NO! I don't have time to talk about them right now! It's another news! About another thing! Well, I'm sot sure if this is a good news or a bad news... I...I don't know! Okay! I'm really confused right now!
I AM CHOSEN FOR THE PKBN PROGRAM! The 3 months MILITARY-like program! YES! THEY CHOSE ME!
CRAZY!? YES! I'M SERIOUSLY GOING CRAZY RIGHT NOW! THIS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN! I MEAN, THE 100 CHOSEN ONES WERE ALREADY DECIDED WEEK AGO AND THEY ALREADY ATTENDED THE FIRST GATHERING LAST WEEK! I WASN'T SUPPOSE TO BE IN THE LIST! WELL, I REALLY WAS NOT IN THE LIST!
BUT THEN, MY PA RECEIVED A CALL TODAY SAYING THAT THEY HAVE CHOSEN ANOTHER 100 TO ENTER THE PROGRAM. AND THAT 100 INCLUDES ME! WHY NOW!? WHY NOW WHEN I ALREADY PLANNED A LOT OF STUFFS TO DO FOR THE 3 MONTHS OFF FROM SCHOOL! I WANT TO HAVE 'CUTI CUTI' MALAYSIA WITH MY FAMILY! I THOUGHT THEY WERE NOT GOING TO CHOOSE ME! I WAS ALREADY RELIEVED! BUT NOW...
WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?
SHOULD I JUST GO WITH FLOW?
OR SHOULD I TELL THEM THAT I WANT TO DECLINE IT?
MAN, I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW...
HELP!!!!
Life is a challenge. Doesn't matter if we are strong or weak, we still have to go through it. And I will complete the challenge no matter what...

I'm officially a fan of Andromeda!
First of all, I want to announce that MY EXAM IS OVER! I'm FREE! Yay! :D I'm so happy! No more exam. No more staying up late for revision! No more coming to school for extra class! NO MORE! Now, I can play and do my fangirling as much as I want! Yatta! Hontou ni ureshii!
Okay, actually, today I'm here to share something :D In my previous post, I talked about how my beloved country Brunei Darussalam has a lot of talented entertainers...singer...whatever! That's not the point. Hahaha. I'm here to introduce you guys ANDROMEDA! A boy group from my country that I'm now interested in the most.
I first heard about ANDROMEDA was in October when they were chosen as the Pelangi Spotlight for the month October on Pelangi Fm (One of the famous station radio in Brunei). Their single called 'TERTIPU' is one of the famous Bruneian songs that is always being played in the radio. When I first listened to the song, I fell in love already. I mean, with their beautiful voices. I love the song, especially the rap part. It's so nice. At that time, I didn't know how these guys from ANDROMEDA look like. All I knew was that they are Chinese Bruneian. So, when I heard that they were going to perform on 4th November in Radio Television Brunei (Studio A), I quickly suggested to my friend, Naru-baka, that we should go to watch them. Plus, Neff Aslee and Seniman Jalanan were going to perform as well (I LOVE THEM!)
On 4th November, we actually went there as planned! Coming with us was Suki-chan. She already made a research before coming and she said that these ANDROMEDA guys are all good looking especially Calvin. She really wanted to meet him, that was the main reason why she came with us. I did a research on them as well, honestly. Well, I admitted that they are all good-looking. And the music video for the song 'TERTIPU' is just awesome! Especially the dance. And I found out the rapper of the group is Calvin.
Okay, back to the story. We went there. WAY TOO EARLY. The show was scheduled to start at 4 PM but the three of us arrived there before 3:30 PM. And when we entered the studio, the artists were all still rehearsing! Hahah! It was awkward. Like, seriously awkward. We sat quietly at the audience seats, watching the artists doing their rehearsal which wasn't that bad actually. It was fun that we got to see the behind the scene :P The time we entered, ANDROMEDA was practicing their new song, with Calvin playing the keyboard. Man, hearing them singing live was just so...I don't know what to say. They have really great voices. And yes. They really are good looking. My heart did a black flip when I first caught a glimpse of the members. Okay, I realized that I'm babbling a lot about how good looking these guys are... but didn't provide you with any picture of them. Hahaha.
So, people...
Let me introduce to you guys.
ANDROMEDA!! *claps*

Got this picture from their official page on FaceBook. Hopefully they won't mind about me stealing their pictures. |
So, as I already mentioned earlier, all the four members of ANDROMEDA are Chinese Bruneian (except for Anson maybe, because his info on his FaceBook account stated that he was from Sibu, Sarawak. Hmm. I'm not sure though. And Jason, I guess. Because my research found out that his father is actually a Malaysian but well, who cares. They are performing as Bruneian artists. Then they ARE Bruneian artists). So yeah, maybe that's why they are more good-looking than others.
From what I found when I did my research on them, they were previously known as E.M.4 (Don't ask me what that stands for, because I really have no idea). They only changed their name to ANDROMEDA this year and that was when Anson joined the group. Yes, Anson was not in E.M.4 :) E.M.4's members were Calvin, Jason, Wallace (now known as Gordino) and...Zayn Zabri (If my research is correct). As E.M.4, they have performed in many places and even got invited as the guest for the opening of Toly Moly shop. Media Permata (Newspaper in Brunei) have also mentioned them a couple of times :) And their famous song as E.M.4 is Bersama Selamanya, that they performed during Rhapsody concert.
How come they changed their name to ANDROMEDA?
Okay. Their first song as ANDROMEDA is TERTIPU featured Nash (another talent in Brunei) and that song was actually belonged to Nash. Hmm. Confusing? Well, actually Nash invited them to collaborate with him after seeing their talents :) Like, "Hei, I have this one song titled TERTIPU. I want to feature you guys" (Something like that lah :P). Then Anson joined the group, so I guess that was how ANDROMEDA was formed? Honestly I'm still not sure about this. Well, I warned you already, right? My information can be wrong. Haha.

Again, got the pic from their official page |
During the show at RTB on 4th November, Calvin was introduced as the leader. Then, I guess, he is the leader. Now, let's talk about the leader first. In my opinion, yes, he is the most good looking (I agree with Suki-chan). AND, he is the most approachable as he is very friendly. I added him on FaceBook and he accepted my request right away :) He's not arrogant at all. After the show, we took a lot of pictures with ANDROMEDA and when I uploaded all the pictures on FaceBook, I tagged the members. Calvin Chong was the only one who actually liked and commented on those pictures. He even shared my picture with him on his wall and attached a message on it, "How sweet! Thank you for the support and for turning up, *insert my name*". See, he's so friendly :D
When they performed their new song called "Here In My Life" (An English song. You guys really should listen to this song! It's beautiful. Actually it is not a new song. E.M.4 sang this song so many times in the past), Calvin played the keyboard and he sang the first line. Okay, I have to agree that he has a very excellent voice! I was like, "Oh my...so beautiful" and I found out just today that HE wrote the song. He also released his own solo single called UNSPOKEN in 2008 if I'm not mistaken. I'm in love with his voice. He also plays keyboard well. I'm not sure about his age but he was born on 31st July. (I'm guessing, his age is maybe around 23-24 years old)
I was doing my research on them when I found his YouTube channel. Wow. He already uploaded about 46 videos onto his YouTube channel. So, yeah, I watched them all. He uploaded quite a few videos of him covering other's songs. Well. My most favourite one would be "On The Way Down" :D And he also uploaded his own original song called 'Miss Izan'. BEAUTIFUL. That's all I can say. His voice is BEAUTIFUL. Oh, he plays guitar as well. Can you see how talented this man is, guys? He sings well, he dances well (He was a part time dance instructor. He uploaded one video of him teaching little kids), he plays keyboard, he plays guitar, he can write awesome songs. Calvin Chong is a very talented man.
JASON KOH

Got this from their official FaceBook Page |

From their official FaceBook page |
Now, let's move on to the next member. Oh, Jason Koh! He is my favourite member! He's my ichiban, the term we use in JPOP fandom to address our favourite member in a group. I know I know. You guys must be thinking, 'I thought your ichiban was Calvin!' Hahaha. I like Calvin. He's awesome. But then, my ichiban IS Jason.
About Jason. For me, he is kinda mysterious type of person. I can see that he is the most quiet member of ANDROMEDA. I added him on FaceBook as well. But he rarely update anything and he hardly reply any comments from his fans. He only liked those comments or status he was tagged in. During the show on 4th November, I fell in love with his voice when he sang his part in the song 'Here In My Life'. Believe me, he has a very great voice! Among all the four members, he is the shortest one (But still, his height is ABOVE average) One of the reason why I like him. Because it will be easy for me to catch up! (Those who knows how much I love Nakajima Yuto of Hey!Say!JUMP should know my bad experience with height. Geez. Stop growing, Yuto! I won't be able to catch up!) Jason is the son of the owner of a famous Thai Seafood restaurant called KTM located in Jerudong which is VERY NEAR to where I live! Someday I will go eat there because they said Jason always entertain the customers with his remarkable piano skill. Yes, he plays piano! Another reason for me to love him!

Also taken from their official FaceBook page |
In Calvin's YouTube channel, he uploaded this one video in which he did a cover song with Jason. When I watched that video, I fell in love more with his voice! So the point is, I love Jason for his beautiful voice! And he's cute too, I admit. If Calvin is the most handsome, Jason is the CUTEST. When we took picture with them, I noticed that Jason has a nice smile, very warming. He can be funny too! I remember a video I watched on E.M.4 page. I'd love to actually say hi to him on FaceBook but...I afraid he would ignore me. Hahaha. It's really irritating when we got ignored by the idols we like, but then, as a fan I know my limit. I know where I stand. So, I don't want to dig deeper into their private life. By the way, Jason was born on 13th December (His age? 25 years old, maybe?)
GORDINO K
![]() |
Well...you know |
Move on to the next member. Gordino K! Let's see what can I talk about him... Well, he is a member of ANDROMEDA of course. Haha. As a member of E.M.4, he appeared in the news more than twice. He was the second to sing when they were performing the song 'Here In My Life'. He is good looking, yes! With a well built body that can make girls go KYAAA! Hahaha. Gordino is good when it comes to the 'shout-shout' part in their song. Err...I'm not sure if you get what I'm trying to say...
Gordino is as friendly as Calvin. Unlike Jason, Gordino always reply the comments from his fans on FaceBook and he never forget to add a smiley in his reply. Yes. Yes. I added him on FaceBook as well. Hmm. I added all the members :D I watched this one video on E.M.4 official FaceBook page (Now dead). The three of them (Calvin, Jason and Gordino) were video-ing themselves singing a Chinese song. Gordino, also, has a nice voice. From the video, I think he is like a big brother in ANDROMEDA (also when in E.M.4, I'm sure).
![]() |
I don't need to keep repeating the fact that I also got this from their page, right? |
Woah! Look at that tiny little dimple on his cheek! Cute! I just realized that he got the same smile like a friend of mine. I wonder if they are related? Oh, obviously no. I...honestly don't have much to talk about Gordino. I mean, he's not that active as Calvin so it's really hard to find information about him. Heheh. Oh, he was born on 13th February. His age? I'm not sure. But maybe he's 25+? Older than the others, I guess? Well, he's really big brother-like! I can imagine him babysitting the others. Hmm. That is just guess so we don't know! :D
ANSON TANG
![]() |
Got this from their official page on FaceBook. Ah, I said it. |
Gosh. I have a hard time in choosing which pictures of Anson Tang to post here. All of his pictures are...WOW. Okay. Here is the only member of ANDROMEDA who was not a part of E.M.4. Let me introduce you to Anson Tang! He was the main center in the TERTIPU music video because the music video was about him got cheated by his girlfriend (Anyway, TERTIPU is GOT CHEATED in English :P)
What I love the most about Anson is his cute eyes! And just like Gordino, he has a body that can easily make girls drool. Except me! YES! (I prefer someone skinny and lanky like Nakajima Yuto :P). From what I see in the TERTIPU music video, I think Anson also have talent in acting! I mean, his expression, when he saw his girlfriend with another man (I'm talking about the music video! Don't get the wrong idea!), is just...it's very real! It was a clever decision that they chose Anson to play the main role in the music video *thumb up*
![]() |
I'm so not gonna say it again! |
Oh, look at that eyes! I like Anson's hair style the most. It really suits him well, don't you think so? Actually, I keep wondering about this one thing. Why wasn't Anson a part of E.M.4? And why he joined the group only this year? Where did he actually come from? I mean, is he a friend of the other members? Or they just met this year? But they all look so close with Anson so I guess they have know each other for quite a long time. Hmm. I don't know. We don't know. Hahah. How I wish it was easy to gather information about Brunei's local artists... *sigh*. Okay, Anson was born on 22nd May and his age... I have no idea. Maybe older than Jason but not older than Gordino? Hahah.
So, that is all about the members :D So far I've introduced ANDROMEDA to a lot of friends. I showed them their videos and recommended them their songs to listen. And yes, they all love them. And they totally agreed that these guys are talented. I even downloaded some videos from Calvin's YouTube channel so that I can let my friends watch.
The conclusion is...
Suki-chan likes Calvin Chong (Reasons: Because he's cute! And he plays keyboard! F.Y.I Suki-chan also play Keyboard!)
Naru-Baka likes, also Calvin Chong (Reasons: Because he's cute! And talented! Plus friendly! Okay, she didn't say that. I don't know, honestly :P)
Tyqa likes Anson Tang (Reasons: He's hot! Especially in the music video! The bed scene! Opps!)
Min Ki likes...I don't know. He just commented that they are talented, they are hot, they sing nice and love the new song!
Miko likes Gordino K (Reasons: He sings nice and well built body!)
My ma likes Calvin Chong (Reasons: He can sing well. Nice voice)
Saku-chan likes Gordino K (Reasons: I didn't ask ==')
And me. I like Jason Koh! Reasons? I fell in love with his voice. That's it. His voice. And his smile. And his eyes. And..okay, stop. I like him. That's it.
So, after the show on 4th November, we were allowed to take pictures with the artists. Of course we didn't let go of the chance! Hahaha.
Aside from ANDROMEDA, we also took pictures with the other artists as well.

I will update again soon and try to post up the picture with Seniman Jalanan. PLUS! I have something else to share *smirks* Hmm, something related to ANDROMEDA (or E.M.4, I would say :P) Well, let's talk about it next time :P

Brunei Darussalam has a lot of talented entertainers!
Hello, people! It's been quite a long time since I posted my last post. That is because there was nothing so exciting to post about. Plus, I'm in the middle of BIG exam right now. Yes, it has not yet OVER. I still have three more papers to go and one of them will be later in the afternoon.
But then, here I am. I have something to share, of course! Something that I can't wait to share with you people (Whoever is reading this).
As most of you already knew, I am a Bruneian and I live in Brunei Darussalam. I love my country so much. Although, I'm really into Japanese pop and culture, I never forget my own beloved country. Living in Brunei is really pleasant. Yeah, it's a small country and some might don't even know where Brunei is. But who cares. It really is peaceful here. Our king (or Sultan we call him), is really considerate and care about his people. Education is free. Health welfare is free. Crime rate is very low. Facilities and technologies are somehow very advanced. I'm so thankful to be born in this peaceful and beautiful country.
One of my Malaysian friends on FaceBook once asked me, "Your country is one of the riches in the world but why isn't Brunei famous? I don't even know your artists or whatever it is... and bla bla bla". I didn't tell her but her question really made me mad. However, I answered her question calmly. I told her that I don't really care about fame. I am thankful enough for what we already have. Brunei Darussalam is a great country. With a generous Sultan, who cares so much about his people and religion, for me is enough. Plus, free education and health welfare, I don't know what else to wish for. I'm living so comfortable here. I'm happy. We are all happy. So what's the problem?
True that I love Japanese POP and culture so much. There are times when I wish that I was born Japanese. True. I admit that. But really, I love my country. I'm proud being a Bruneian.
But something is making me sad. My friends and most of the people around me always see Brunei as boring, no entertainment, nothing to be proud of and always I hear them saying 'stuffs' about Brunei even though they are BRUNEIAN. It's making me sad and mad. Bruneian, they can't really see the good points about Brunei because they are always looking at others.
How many Bruneians out there watch RTB channel?
How many Bruneians out there watch local's dramas?
How many Bruneians out there listen to local's songs?
How many Bruneians out there even know about the history of Brunei?
How many Bruneians out there even know the names of the local's artists?
VERY LITTLE.
Most Bruneians, instead of watching RTB channels and local's dramas, they watch ASTRO.
Most Bruneians, instead of listening to local artists' songs, they listen to KPOP, JPOP, English songs, Malaysian songs, and other foreign songs most of the time. (I admit that I am one of them. But then again, I do listen to Brunei tracks EVERYDAY at 7 pm on Pelangi FM. I do watch RTB channels EVERYDAY. Believe me, I do)
These kinds of things are really making me sad. Every time I ask my friends about our local artist, they will be like, "Who the heck is that?" and when I tell them, they are always like, "Eww... Brunei". Okay, honestly I feel like punching them right on the spot.
WHY? WHY ARE THESE BRUNEIAN ACTING LIKE THAT?
You know Fasha Sanda. You know Faizal Tahir. You know Shila Hamzah. You know Angelina Jolie. You know Justin Bieber. You know Lady Gaga. You know Lee Min Ho. You know SNSD.
But you don't know Zul Faden. You don't know Neff Aslee. You don't know Maria. You don't know Dinshe. You don't know Andromeda. You don't know Mienul. You don't know Seniman Jalanan. You don't know Qeez Idrus. You don't know Hill Zaini. You don't AJ Abdul. You don't know Dhask. You don't know Aziz Harun. You don't know Jazz Hayat. And others talented local artists, such as 5:10 am, Putri Norizah, Hans, Asde, Eqah, Ina, Seri Nazrina, Feez Madea, Fairuznizan...they are so many that I can't list them all down here.
Why is that? Okay, maybe you have heard their names somewhere before, but have you ever tried to actually listen to them? Trying to know more about them? Supporting them? NO.
I won't deny the fact that Brunei's music wasn't so great before. But now! AT LEAST TRY TO LISTEN TO THEM. They have IMPROVED a lot. New musics are PRODUCED. A lot of great songs. But you didn't know. Because you never tried to listen to them. Even my father. Every time a local song starts to play on the radio, he will change the channel right away. It's like he has local song phobia, or something like that.
I've been following the local artists for quite a long time now. But I never really have anyone to talk about them with. But now, I'm really happy. I have some friends who finally have the same idea as me, who also sees these local artists as talented and deserve our support. I'm happy. I also realized that there are now more people who follows the local artists' updates compared to in the past. But still, most of the Bruneian are still too...I don't know, most still cannot see the talented artists in Brunei Darussalam. There are so many. I hope, this kind of situation will change in the future.
Please be proud of your own country, people :) I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feeling. I am just expressing my feeling. My opinion on this matter.
