The final match between Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan has just ended few minutes ago. It was a great performance from both players. My heart almost skipped a beat watching the super tight match. However, luck is not on Lee Chong Wei's side again this time. He didn't win the gold medal. Although he won the first game with 21-15, he lost in the second game with 10-21 (correct me if I'm wrong) and third game... with 19-21. Well. There was not much gap in the points for the third game.
BUT! He did his very best already. I can clearly see how hard he tried. He lost. Yes. But I'm still so proud of him. I still respect him so much and he is still my idol and forever my hero. The match just now, he didn't let Lin Dan to win easily. Lin Dan did have tough moments there! 19-21, the difference is only 2 points! Lee Chong Wei could have won, ya know! It's just that the luck wasn't on his side again this time.
As we all can see, he really tried so hard. For us. His supporters. So, Lee Chong Wei, cheer up! There's nothing to feel sorry for. There is nothing to be disappointed of. You did your best. So really, it's okay! It's okay! (How I wish I can meet him now and tell that to him!)
I heard of this from a friend that Lee Chong Wei is going to retire after this Olympic game. I'm not sure how true it is. But, if it is true, then...the match just now was his last match? I, honestly, I want to see more of him. I still want to see him plays. But, if it's his decision, I have no right to argue. Though I'm hoping for him to keep playing :')
Lee Chong Wei, you are forever my HERO. My IDOL. I love you. We'll always on your side.
