Family problem...

The situation within my family was really bad this past few days. It has never been this bad before. The only one should be blamed for this is my younger brother, Keii. He is always the one that brings chaos to the family. He always leave the house without informing my parents first then only come back after weeks.

My father is okay if his children leave the house and come back on the same day. He doesn't like his children sleep outside unless we inform him first so that he knows where and when will we come back. But Keii, he never told my parents where he is heading to or where he is sleeping over at. NEVER at all. Sometime, he didn't even come home after 3 weeks and that makes my father really mad. It is okay if he calls home and tell my parents that he would not be coming home but he didn't! Acting like an adult when he is still seventeen!

He failed his O-level exam and so he couldn't continue his study to 6th form. I told him to repeat a year and take the exam again but refused to do so. So he had to choice but to apply at private college. We all knows that private college required a large amount of money for the fees, right? But, that's not a problem since our king is kind enough to provide scholarships for those who wants to continue their study at private college. H got accepted to the college and the only thing left is to apply for the scholarship.

But, he didn't come home for a long time! My parents had to call him so many times and asked him to come home so that he could start preparing for applying the scholarship. He did come home after my parents called him but left on the same day! And didn't come home since then. The registration for the scholarship is going to be closed in few more days. So, my parents were panicking since Keii hadn't even started to fill in the form and they couldn't contact him at all! We didn't even know where he was!

On Monday, I was awoke by a loud noise from my parents' room. My father was shouting in anger at my mother. I could hear him saying, "I DON'T CARE ABOUT HIM ANYMORE! I DON'T HAVE A SON LIKE HIM! I DON'T WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIM! YES! I'M NOT A GOOD FATHER!! I DON'T CARE! I DON'T CARE! CAN JUST LET ME DIE!"

Then I heard my mother crying as she scolded my father. What happened that morning was my mother asked my father to look for Keii to settle his scholarship thingy. The thing is my father already gave up about Keii who didn't come home even after he told him to. He said, "Keii don't even care about his future then why should we care!?"

I understand my father's feeling very well. He cares a lot about Keii's future. He did so many things so that Keii would be able to continue his studies. But Keii don't. Yes, he did say that he wants to continue studying but he never take it seriously.

That morning, I just locked myself in room as I listened to my father and my mother arguing with each other about Keii. I heard my father punching and kicking the wall and stuffs. It really scared me because father never been that angry before. My father is a very kind man and always smiling no matter what happens. Only that morning, he was not like himself at all. I was scared that I cried alone in my room.

My mother was mad so she left the house and took the bus to her work place while my father locked himself inside the room. I only stepped outside my room when there was no more sound coming from the room next door. I went down and found Keii was filling in the scholarship form. I really felt like punching him straight on his face but that would only make the situation worse so I calmed myself. My little sister was scared as well that as soon as she saw me, she quickly hugged me and told everything to me.

My father didn't left his room. I was so worried as it was already around 12 noon. I tried to have a peek inside the room but the door was locked from the inside. Keii left the house again that evening saying that he was going to submit the form.

Almost 2 pm, my father was still in his room. Then, I was surprised when my mother appeared at the front door. She said she was worried so she told her boss that she needed to leave early. She went to knock on the door but my father didn't open it. So my mother just let him be, thinking that he needed time to be alone.

Naru-baka came over that day. Well, she didn't know what was going on and with her there, I felt a lot better. We played and had fun. Until, we heard my father shouting at my mother again downstairs. So, I told her what actually happened that morning. Then, silence followed afterwards and my lil sister told me that my parents left the house to buy some foods for sungkai that day.

When my parents weren't at home, I had a big fight with my grandmother. She was so annoying. She loves Keii so much that she defended Keii a lot and she was really getting on my nerves when she said that MY FATHER was the one at fault! That's not true! We all know it was Keii's fault! If only he listened to my father, this kind of thing wouldn't happen. My grandma spoilt him too much. She always gives him money and stuffs! That is why Keii always leave home. He has money!

I left my grandmother cried in my room after the fight as I ran outside the house, crying as well. I hate hurting my grandmother but she was just too much already. Putting all the blame on my father when Keii was the one at fault. I went to the place where I always go when I am sad and wanting to have time alone. Naru-baka and my little sister followed me there. Naru-baka didn't say anything but quietly sitting next to me, accompanying me. We stayed there for awhile and when I felt a bit better, we headed back home.

Arriving at home, my mother was waiting for us at the door. I thought she was gonna scold me but she was worried about me instead. It seemed like she thought I ran away from home. She even called my friend to ask where I was.

Then the rest of the day was just normal. My parents seemed like they realized that everything that happened gave an impact to my emotion. So, they brought me out, asked me what I wanted and bought them for me. Naru-baka had her sungkai at my house that night.

Naru-baka, thanks a lot. I'm sorry that everything happened when you were in my house. But I'm glad that you were there. Thanks...

Yesterday, Keii went to my mother's work place and told her that he was sorry... He was rejected and didn't get the scholarship because he was late in submitting the form. My father said he doesn't want to have anything to do with him so now it's all up to Keii on what he is going to do next. Serves you right.
